Sharaj Sundararaman has acquired experience by working for regional planning commissions, consultants and transportation planning think tank. He has worked on projects on bikeshare systems, long range transportation plan, parking study, highway design and transit oriented development, climate change, community development. At LCC Telecommunication in Rosemont, Illinois he assisted the clients in acquiring zoning permits to install wireless and telecommunication towers. At CCRPC (Champaign County Regional Planning Commission) he aided a team of transportation planner and engineers in developing the long range transportation plan. He advocated a research with a team of urban planners on parking facilities at Institute of urban Transport. The research assessed the parking facilities in Indian metropolitan cities based on urban design, law enforcement and socio-economic factors. At RITES (Rail India Technical and Economic Survey) he designed road intersections and corridors for the Indian city of Raipur. He assisted a team of urban planners and architects on a research on integration of landuse and transportation at Town and Country Planning Organization, India where he assessed the potential of transit oriented development due to the changing zoning after the development of metro in eastern part of Delhi. I have also worked as a freelanacer for independent clients. My freelance projects include developing reports on commercial assessment of internet optic fibers based on the city’s zoning, digitization of maps using ArcGIS, preparing report to give information about the urban planning system and process in American cities.Adept in ArcGIS, QAdobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, RStudio and Python. He graduated in master of urban planning from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and recieved his bachelor’s degree in urban planning from Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.
